News about Melissa McCarthy's plus-size clothing line, Seven7, has been percolating for a while now, with the last tantalizing tidbit dropping this week. The actress gave us the release date (August) and the price range (all under $200), but no pics. Now—regal trumpet introduction, please—we're finally seeing what's to come!
We can expect sweaters, skirts, and pants ready to go to the office or on weekend errands, plus jeans—kind of a big deal for McCarthy, who's a recent denim convert after 15 years of going without a pair. "I was completely against it. I was in a vintage phase, shockingly, and I just didn't get it."
She continued, "I just wanted to do a basic closet that I couldn't find. Some days I want to be prim and proper, and others I want to be in a band. I lost the ability to do that with clothes," McCarthy told Vogue. The official launch date is now September 1, but McCarthy will make an HSN appearance on August 13 so shoppers can get excited early. Pieces, priced between $59 and $150, will be available in sizes 4 through 28.

The first time we really heard about McCarthy's fashion aspirations was last summer. After considering studying fashion in college, she'd struggled with the choices presented to her for red carpets and events, quipping that "trying to find stuff that's still fashion-forward in my size is damn near impossible. It's either for like a 98-year-old woman or a 14-year-old hooker, and there is nothing in the middle." She's since learned how to really nail a look, so we're right in getting excited about Seven7 hitting shelves.
