Giddyap! The next big handbag trend is upon us and—pun intended—it's the saddle bag.
The crescent-shaped silhouette, fashioned after the bags that horseback riders use to carry their gear, was all over the fall runways, but it really started to take shape about a year ago when Chloé launched its Drew bag. Chic girls, such as Aimee Song (above) and Leandra Medine of the Man Repeller (below) have been seen out and about with their new bags of the moment.
We love the compactness of the shape, but you can still fit all of your essentials in there (kitchen sink notwithstanding). Also, the long strap makes it super versatile. You can wear it cross-body for commuting and shopping, or on the shoulder for after-work cocktails or a date.
