Update: As of Sunday afternoon, Kim Zolciak-Biermann's PR rep emailed Glamour with a new statement from Kim: "I want to thank everyone for their love and support over the past few days. I am now home with my family, resting and taking care of my health. I can't express enough how much I love dancing and this whole experience, and I hope this will not be the end of dancing."
Kim's representative declined comment on what her statement means for her future on Dancing With the Stars, as well as when she might be able to travel, or if she would be working with partner Tony Dovolani in Atlanta. As soon as we have more information, we'll update this piece.
From earlier: Thirty-six hours after suffering a Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA), or what's often called a "mini stroke," Dancing With the Stars contestant Kim Zolciak-Biermann is currently still in an Atlanta hospital, but is encouraging fans that her condition is improving. Glamour spoke with her rep just moments ago, who noted that as far as Zolciak-Biermann's future on the show goes, "Everything is up in the air at the moment." Per a Dancing With the Stars rep, the show is not currently commenting on her condition.

A transient ischemic attack (TIA) happens when blood flow to part of the brain is temporarily blocked or reduced, often by a blood clot, according to the American Stroke Association. After a short time, blood flows again and the symptoms go away. Some people call a TIA a "mini stroke," but the association categorizes it more as a "warning stroke"—which "should always be taken seriously."
As of Tuesday night's performance and results show, Zolciak-Biermann and Dovolani were in the bottom third of the competition, having scored an 18 from the judges. If Kim is able to dance on Monday night, she and Tony will be performing to the TV theme song, I Dream of Jeannie, for the first-ever TV theme night. In regards to her status and condition, we'll keep you posted as soon as new details come in.
