This Might Just Be the Craziest Thing That Ever Happened on the Real Housewives

It appeared as a practical joke...at first. On last night's episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County, Heather Dubrow and her husband, prominent plastic surgeon Terry Dubrow, showed up at a party like their usual polished selves, and nothing seemed amiss. But then, Vicki notices that Heather has a giant blood stain on the front of her outfit and freaks out, as would anyone. Heather is totally calm about it, providing the simple explanation that it's merely excessive bleeding from the leeches she put on her stomach earlier. Oh, OK. WHAT?! Even crazier, Terry comes over and reveals that he tried this leech treatment as well (which the duo apparently filmed for Terry's E! plastic surgery show, Good Work). Even crazier, Terry comes over and reveals that he tried this leech treatment as well (which the duo apparently filmed for Terry's E! plastic surgery show, Good Work). "We had leech facials!" he exclaims. And, as one apparently does post-leech treatment, they duct-taped maxi pads over the stomach wounds to soak up the bleeding so that they could attend a party.

Heather explains that her inspiration for the treatment was Demi Moore, who has also publicly proclaimed her love for leeches. How it works: "She gets leeches on her stomach, and they suck your blood, and they squish 'em out, and they put it on your face, and it makes you young and fabulous," Heather told Vicki. "The leech therapy brightens your skin, tightens your skin, and gives you a youthful glow," says Heather.

You could tell us that they remove wrinkles, make cellulite disappear, and take ten years off the face—we're still never doing this! And for the record, none of the dermatologists we reached out to for comment had heard of this treatment happening in any legitimate medical practice. Thank goodness.
