Ever since Zayn Malik left One Direction, 1D fans are ultra-sensitive to any hints of strife within the remaining four band members. So when One Direction's Liam Payne shoved Louis Tomlinson on stage during a show in Manchester, the incident quickly blew up into the push heard round the world. You can watch the exchange below:
But Liam Payne took to Twitter to calm any fan fears of discord between him and dad-to-be Louis Tomlinson. Payne explained that the push-and-shove was nothing but "friendly banter" between him and his bandmate. (So no need to freak out, 1Ders.)
Beyond this recent incident, it's been an eventful year for One Direction (and an emotional roller coaster for their fans). First, Zayn Malik sent shock-waves through the 1D world when he announced his departure in March, with little explanation. Then, news broke that Louis Tomlinson was expecting a child with stylist Briana Jungwirth. The band dropped their first single without Zayn, "Drag Me Down," over the summer, and announced their upcoming album, Made in the A.M., to the delight of 1D fans. But just as quickly as they were up, they came right back down when the band announced they were taking a hiatus next year.
