Miranda Lambert, 30, is having a year: The singer won three Academy of Country Music Awards, including a record fifth-straight win as Female Vocalist of the Year. She and her hunky husband, Blake Shelton, celebrated their third wedding anniversary. She just dropped a new girl-power album. ("The lyrics on Platinum are empowering," she says. "I love it when I see girls rooting for other girls.") And we can't forget to mention her much-buzzed-about new body, which, for the record, she earned by working out and eating healthfully. But, on that last point, let's be clear: "I don't get my confidence from 'after' pictures," Lambert says. "I get my confidence from a fan saying, 'Your song "Gunpowder & Lead" saved my life.' If you find something you love, that you're good at, it helps you carry your head high." Give us more Dos & Don'ts, Miranda!

DO ONE HEALTHY THING DAILY. I jog. I work out with my trainer. Or I'll trick myself: I'll go horseback riding, or Blake and I will go walking in the woods, and it's like, Uh-oh, I think I accidentally did some cardio! With food—I don't like vegetables unless there's ranch or cheese on 'em. But I drink juice, so I have one vegetable-packed juice in the morning, and I feel like I've done my good thing for the day.

DON'T LET YOUR SIZE DEFINE YOU. My weight yo-yos because I like to live. I'm a Cheetos girl. I won't give up vodka. I'm recently a size 6, which I'm proud of, but I've been a size 8 all these years, and it didn't hold me back. If you've got a little muffin top, that doesn't define you. You have so much more to offer: brains, talent, heart. You can spray-tan and suck in the rest. There's Spanx for that! And Blake? He doesn't care if my weight changes as long as I stay the same inside.

DO IGNORE THE FASHION POLICE. I think we should quit worrying about what other women think about our outfits—and wear what we feel good in, even if it's not in style. That's one thing I admire about [my friend] Kelly Clarkson: She has an "I don't give a sh-t" attitude. She doesn't care if she doesn't have makeup on. She doesn't care what she's wearing. She just walks into a room and lights it up.

DON'T FORGET: WRINKLES ARE STORIES. I think the best way to deal with aging is by joking about it—and owning it: Wrinkles are stories! I was at a wedding with Reba [McEntire] the other day. She walked up in this black dress, took off her sunglasses, and her face looked stunning. She was telling me [her age, 59] and I couldn't believe it. I saw character in her face in such a good way. There're so many stories in her eyes that make her look so vibrant and young. If I could just be a hair on her ass, I'd be happy.

DO SURROUND YOURSELF WITH GIRLFRIENDS. One of my favorite lyrics on the new album is "Imagine a fighter with a centerfold face." That's how I picture all of my friends. They're strong—and gorgeous. They make me proud.
