See the Entire Altuzarra for Target Collection Here—It Just Might Be the Sexiest Collab Ever

I've been looking forward to August 13 for a long time (and no, it's not because I had reservations at an impossible-to-book Korean barbecue restaurant). Tonight editors got a chance to view the entire Altuzarra for Target Collection in its entirety and meet with designer Joseph Altuzarra to talk about the hotly anticipated collaboration. But upon arrival with the entire Glamour , at 7 P.M. sharp, we were told that the collection was not quite ready and the doors would open soon. Talk about suspense! When the doors finally did open, we charged through (gracefully, naturally) to check out the collection to report back to you. And let me tell you, the anticipation was well deserved. Christina homed in on a pair of sexy over-the-knee boots, Anne was all about the slouchy sweater embellished with gold birds, and I made my way over to the corset belts that—well, I was sad to head home without. But not to fret, dear readers: The collection hits Target stores and Net-a-Porter on September 14 and is priced accessibly from $17.99 to $89.99. So maybe think about the corset belt in two colors, yah? Before we get to the collection itself (trust me, the

Before we get to the collection itself (trust me, the anticipation is worth it), I spoke with Joseph about his vision for the collection and the woman he designed it for.

"It's for a woman that wants to be desired," he says, adding words such as "sensual" and "seductive" to describe the collection. They're apt descriptors for the looks, which range from plunging V-neck dresses, Romanian blouses in claret or snake print, and his signature, daring, dramatic slit skirts, which have a slit slashed right up to the thigh. "I used my considerable charms to get the slit skirts [in the collection] and get them not to be less slit [open]," muses Altuzarra.

If you've never worn or owned a piece of Altuzarra, the designer recommends the razor-sharp tailored jacket, velvet tuxedo, and, yes, the slit skit. But note: If you give the slit skirt a shot, the designer has instructions for getting out of a car while wearing it. "There's an art to getting out of a taxi in it," he says. "You're supposed to hold your skirt down as you're pivoting out of the car. A lot of it is in the cut and fit of working on the skirt so you can sit and stand and walk without exposing yourself."

Excellent advice, Mr. Altuzarra. And now, onto the collection:
