Like all years of her life so far, 2014 was a big year for Taylor Swift. She released a new album, cemented her bestie-ness with several other celebrities, and, most important, for the purposes of this post, cut her hair off. here are five things she taught us about hair, makeup, and possibly life:
Lesson 1) There's no such thing as hair that's too short for bedhead. Bedhead is for everyone.
Lesson 2) Having the same hair as your best friend isn't something that needs to stop in kindergarten. If you both look good in it, who cares? Especially if your best friend happens to be a supermodel.
Lesson 3) Shimmery eyeliner is a legit makeup choice, especially when you want your eyes to look extra glowy.
Lesson 4) Wavy bangs can actually work. So stop straightening yours like your life depends on it.
Lesson 5) Bright blue eye makeup can make for one smoldering smoky eye when done well. One of the secrets? Light shimmer at the inner corners.
